There are many different kinds of Quality or Improvement Tools.The most common ones are listed in the table below and are detailed in the manual ‘Tool Time” (www.langfordlearning.com).

Improvement tools help people work together efficiently and effectively. Specifically they provide the process and structure for teams to:
- Collect information quickly and efficiently
- Involve everyone, giving people equal opportunity for participation
- Collate and display data so that decisions can be reached quickly while still being informed and based on facts.

Mordialloc College participates in Langford Teams Training as a part of the Quality in Schools Program.
It has been a QIS school for 4 years and staff is constantly trained at 2/4 day seminars. In excess of 24 staff are trained and functioning on the team. The team's aim is whole school improvement. One of the main programs that will utilise QIS is the
Leading School fund Quality E-Learning Centre for Years 7 & 8 in 2006.
