Flying High - Level 2 (Years 1 & 2)

Unit Summary

In this Unit, students will explore a variety of interrelated concepts about flight and a very initial understanding of aerodynamics and the importance of flight safety.  Through various learning activities using the different learning intelligences, students will develop their broader understanding of flight and its significance to us, as well as the more specific questions about aircraft and how they operate.  For example students will read and write about what they have been learning about flight.  Students will also have the opportunity of applying their knowledge about flight and creating their own model of a flying machine and will present their model to the class.
